Year 2 Pedals Course and Florence Nightingale Theatre Workshop
Year 2 have had a busy, but exciting week this week! On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday the children took part in their pedals training. They used their bikes or scooters to navigate around the KS1 playground, in and out of cones and practised using their brakes. What an enjoyable and valuable experience for them!
As if that was not enough, the children in Year 2 then had the opportunity to take part in a Florence Nightingale workshop provided by the Freshwater Theatre company on Thursday. The children enjoyed a hands-on experience thinking about what it would actually be like for the soldiers fighting in the Crimean War, along with how much work Florence and her nurses had to do to make the hospital suitable for the soldiers. On the whole, a very enjoyable week for Year 2 and a lovely way to finish the Spring Term!
