Over last 5 years I had the privilege of working globally across Asia, Africa & Europe. While living there I have also been exposed to various education systems and would strive to bring those best practices to the school.

I am very passionate about diversity in Technology industry and would like to encourage more girls to choose technology as a career option.

    Miss Clow

I find it an exciting opportunity to now be involved with the Governing body. I was elected on 11.02.16 and I am a member of the achievement committee.  Prior to this position, I was teaching Year 4 children at a small Cof E village school, in Nottingham, for 5 years. While the size of the school I am teaching at has very much increased, the values and community ethos still remains and this is something which I see as an integral part of Hinchley Wood Primary School.

Attendance at Governor and Committee meetings in past 12 months - Full governing body meetings 5/5 and committee meetings 3/3.

    Mrs Hogan

    LA Governor

Mrs Rachel Herbert - Appointed September 2016

     Mrs Herbert

I have recently joined as the Local Authority Governor and am very excited to be taking on this role where I hope to make a real difference.

I have 3 daughters, two of which attend HWPS with a third at HWS. To date I have taken a very active role in understanding and contributing to the education of my girls and this has acted as a catalyst to want to do more as I look to explore my links with the community to help develop a well rounded approach for pupils to be successful learners and community members.

My background is predominantly marketing & communications and I am active member of the community where I undertake a number of projects and initiatives to keep me busy outside of looking after my children! I am an active member of St Christopher's Church and until recently was a member of the PCC. I am also part of the management team that creates and distributes the Hinchley Wood Magazine as well as being the local representative for the Women's Refuge where I co-ordinate and ensure we support this worthy cause by collecting much needed items for the families that need them.
